Annette's Entry: Creating Abundance – Financially and Spiritually
Here's an entry from Annette Adamos:
What does it mean to create abundance anyway? Is it making a lot of money? Is it spending quality time with family? Is it having a lavish lifestyle? Is it having a great relationship with God?
THAT is a lot to discuss in one blog post, but allow me to give it a shot…
The Typical…
I learned the concept below in one of the many workshops that I have attended, and it goes something like this:
When you’re young, as in less than 20 years young, you’re active and HEALTHY. You got lots of TIME in your hands, but you don’t have your own MONEY – your parents support you as you study.
After graduation, you start working so you do have MONEY. You’re active and HEALTHY, but you simply do not have the TIME as your job eats up most of your regular days and even some weekends. You do this routine for 4 decades (that’s 40 years!) – starting around age 20 until 60.
By the time you reach 60 or 65, you’re expected to have MONEY set aside to retire comfortably. The amount should be good enough to last you 20 years, this is TIME that you now have if you live until about 80. Unfortunately, you probably won’t be in good HEALTH, because you were so busy the past 40 years that you forgot to take care of yourself!

Ryan's Entry: I Invested 350.00 Pesos to Become Truly Rich!!!
Here's an entry from: Ryan B. Rillorta
Let me be a bit off-topic today. I know this has nothing to do with your plans of buying a condo. But since I always put in the phrase, “Live a beautiful life!” in all my researched blog posts, I know that this will inspire you to realize that God wants you to think BIG dreams because He has GRAND plans for each and every one of us. He wants us to live a beautiful life.
My Story
I was then nearing the age of 30, working as a QA Specialist in a call center. My life was a cycle of going to work, relaxing at home watching TV or playing games on the computer, playing drums with my band in non-paying gigs and spending my salary before I even get it. Since I graduated from college, I thought life was just about getting a job and trying to climb its ladder of success while raising a family on the side. I never had thoughts of making definite plans for me and my family’s future because I was living life like what most of the people around me does – Passively.
Amidst my so called passive life, I felt something was wrong deep within me. Somehow I felt that there is an emptiness inside me that needs to be filled. I realized that I’m not happy with the way things are turning out in my life. My credit card debts are rising, I have mediocre relationships, I have low self-esteem and I don’t have a strong faith in God. There is a strong urge inside me to change but I didn’t know how. I began to pray, “Lord, lead me to where You want me to be. To where You think I truly belong”. This has been my usual prayer ever since.

Malou's Entry: The Promised Land
Here's an entry from Malou Coronacion Flores:
I was on my way down to Manila from Baguio last week for a business meeting and I decided to make good use of my travel time by listening to Bo Sanchez's "Define your Wealth." In it, he was talking about being good goal setters, yes, we learned all about how to set goals, and that God has given us the power to change whatever it is we want to change in our lives. Amen!! I so believe that, God has given me the power to change my financial life. But I have been setting goals since...since when....6 years ago? or 10 years ago? It seems like forever....forever, when I first heard God tell me that I will be in the 'promised land'....that promised land of "prosperous plantations where there are showers of blessings" (Ezekiel 24), that 'promised land' of amazing abundance. But until now, I have been wandering...and wondering...where is that promised land? When will I ever arrive?
I have always been hardworking (I have to be, being a single parent of 3 children, I cannot afford not to be hardworking), so my God cannot fault me for that. I invest in my financial education, I have a vehicle to use to go to that promised land( I really believe that the insurance company I work for now is a very good vehicle for me to fulfill my dreams). Then why??? Why is it that until now, I am still searching for my promised land? Is it because I haven't learned the lessons that my God wants me to learn? You see, I wasn't always like this. I grew up in a comfortably rich family, my dad was an executive in one of the country's biggest bank. When I was 24, I married into a rich family (it just so happened:). I had a job teaching Philosophy, not because I needed to work, but my reason was for my self development. But when "the separation" with my husband happened, that's when my 'desert experience' began. Desert experience because there is poverty, there is wanting. At the beginning, since this is a new experience for me, I prayed that I will learn whatever I can from this experience, "nanamnamin ko" were my exact words, until such time that I get out from this desert. But it has been 10 years, since I started my journey to the promised land, when will I arrive there? Or will I ever?

Jeannette's Entry: Bankrupt at 55, Successful at 65
Here's an entry from Jeannette Rosales:
He just turned 67 last October 30. How grateful I was on that day, and been thanking God the whole day for another birthday celebration we're giving for my Dad, who is still strong and healthy for his age. Yes, sometimes he has some bouts of his allergies but through God's grace he 's able to manage it and still is motivated, inspired and focused to work in the wee hours of the night, until even the sun shines on his ever proud forehead.
The Passion
You're probably guessing what does he do. No, he's neither a security guard, nor a call center agent to be working that late. It's his own business he's working for. I remember when he told me 5 years ago, " I'll never stop working to the last of my breath". However, knowing he's on his sixty's, I would rather like to see him resting and enjoying the prime of his life than still working late in the night....and my mom told me then," your father's passion is work, so just understand."
It is only when I've read "8 Secrets of the Truly Rich" and some more books of Bo Sanchez http://www.bosanchez.ph/ , that I've totally understood about my Dad's passion . His passion to work, to pursue his dream and to become successful once again. With that understanding about my Dad , within me also blossomed a deep admiration to him that he was able to get up and walk again from the fall of bankruptcy in our bakery business which had been our bread and butter for years while the eight of us , their children were heading up to school everyday. Some of us now have our own family life and we have finished our schooling through all the efforts of my Dad, together with my Mom.

Lou's Entry: Hello Mr. Elephant!
Lou Natalie Pugay's entry:
You might find me talking nonsense when I say that there might be one big elephant in our homes, offices, schools, cafeterias, or social halls, etc.
Sometimes, there really is. And it makes it hard for us to move around.
The Elephant in the Room.
As people in the room, tell me something we could be talking about. Work, love, ideas, trees, stars, family, shoelace, nail, weather, computer mouse, food, toothpick, places…name it. It’s an endless list.
We even ask “How are you?” a hundred times without really caring about what the response would be. Some would even reply “I’m doing fine” without really meaning it.
We talk about anything under the sun…but not the elephant in the room.

Liza's Entry: Making Money and Dreams
Here's an entry from Lourdeliza Badion:
Syempre pa gusto ko rin magka-pera at yumaman.
I want to be rich, who doesn't, right?
Wouldn't you pick-up all those books on "how to be a millionaire", "how to be rich in an instant", "how to meet a rich partner in life", etc.
Well, I'm fond of going to the bookstore to be with books, to look at them, go over the covers and flip the pages of the ones with interesting titles and authors.
What do you know, I came across a bookshelf dedicated to books written by Bo Sanchez. I know the guy because of his reader-friendly books. I buy his books and a couple are still to be read.
I went to the shelf and picked-up the gold-covered book "8 Secrets of the Truly Rich". Why not? I like the gold cover, the words "Secret" and "Rich" and I love the author, hmmmmm. Okay, buy . . . buy. "I like, I buy, heheh."
To my astonishment, I read the book cover-to-cover in a day and with comprehension, mind you. Also to my repeat astonishment, I was able to apply the easy-to-follow, easy-to-understand, easy-to-recall tips in the book. If you forget anything, it is quick to go back to reading the portions of the book.
What is it that struck me?

Jay's Entry: Manage your finances to get ready for your first real estate deal!
Here's an entry from Jay Castillo:
What broke the camel’s back
I continued on my quest to learn more about personal finance and stumbled upon the “How To Become Truly Rich” Seminar by Bo Sanchez which I attended last July 21, 2007. This seminar really helped establish a solid foundation inside me when it came to managing my finances and it also helped correct myths about money which I erroneously believed in at that time.
From that point onwards, I believed that there was nothing wrong with striving to become rich if the ultimate purpose is to use it to help others. This somehow completed the pieces of the puzzle and suddenly I felt a heavy burden got lifted from me.

Entry from Rej: The Ups and Downs of Taking Risks
Here's an entry from Rej:
When I was still in high school, my parents invested in a clothing business. We were bankrupt because we partnered with a wrong person. Five years ago, while we were renovating a rental space into internet cafĂ©, we were swindled by a couple whom we thought were the owners of the commercial building. We lost thousands. Worse, the only way to get justice was to file a suit. Knowing the justice system in the Philippines, we decided to just forgive and forget. Few months after the incident, we revived our plan in a different location. The business lasted for only six months. We were neither gaining nor losing money. It was break-even, so to speak. I guess, my parents’ patience way back was so short to give it one more chance. Last May 2010, we took another risk. This time, it’s a sari-sari store. And here’s the story…
Putting up a sari-sari store is a no joke. It is not as simple as it may seem. There are a lot of elements that must be put into consideration such as capital, location, market, delegation etc. Yes, even a small business as sari-sari store is a challenge and a risk. And I am glad, that our family was able to surpass all the initial trials. When we started, the net profit was so small. We barely felt the product of our hardwork. But we thought it was ok since we were just starting. After few days, we decided to invest more. We filled our storage cabinet with typical goods found in any sari-sari store and other items for human consumption. When we had enough, we invested in improving our facility by putting a roof outside to cover our customers from the scorching heat of the sun and the rain. We also put a wooden bench where one can sit and relax while sipping a soda. Thus, our actions have been producing good fruits gradually. I am happy to say that we now have regular customers or in tagalong “suki.”

Jessie's Entry: Guiding Hand
Here's an entry from Jessie Tayaban:
"I read Bro. Bo's several books dealing on this subject matter. The principles were clearly put and the ideas are straightforward. I tried applying them. However, it seems that I share the same attitude with that of the disciples. Just go to the sea, cast the nets and hope for a catch.
Several years ago I enrolled in a driving school. The part of the course I enjoyed most was the time when I was already behind the wheels applying the theories I learned in class with the instructor on my side gauging, evaluating and correcting the way I handled the car and the road conditions. After I graduated from the course, I drive not only with ease and confidence but always on cruise control. On my financial journey I need a master to show me the steps, evaluate my actions or performance and give recommendations to help me remain within the charted course until such time when I can simply put my financial portfolio on cruise control. This is the very reason why my wife and I wanted to be part of the mentoring of Bro. Bo Sanchez through the Truly Rich Club. Bro. Bo has the experience, knowledge and strong spiritual guidance system to steer us towards the direction, not only of riches, but wealth as well."

Trish's Entry: Create the Life you want
Here's an entry from Trish Lopez:
What you focus on grows...
Your thoughts creates things...
God gave us the power to create the life we were meant to live...
These were the astounding words that gave me hope and encouragement when I read Bo Sanchez's book "8 Secrets of the Truly Rich." It was my husband who bought this book when he saw it from his boss, probably out of curiosity because, of course, he wanted to know the secrets of the rich. Well, who wouldn't be interested to know those secrets?
I consider it a blessing from the Lord that I was able to get a hold of this book because it somehow woke me up from the wrong mindset I had. I've been through a lot of stressful and discouraging events at home and back when I was still working, so somehow all the negative vibes and emotions just piled up. I began to focus on the negative things that are happening not realizing that the more I focus on those things, the more I attract them. Reading this book was really an eye opener for me and freed me of my ignorance.
This book also taught me to dream again - to not give up on my dreams and that it is still not too late to dream. I admit of being impatient and of being easily discouraged. When I don't see results ASAP, I just give up. But learning from this book that writing and reading your dreams everyday and focusing on them helps in achieving all your goals.

Nira's Entry: Learning from Both Parents
Here's an entry from Cristina Nira A. Macaspac:
When I was in college I often hear my mom say “Anak, mag aral ka mabuti para makahanap ka ng magandang trabaho.” My dad however would tell me, “ Anak study hard, learn and get experience from a job, take it as part of your learning process so you can build your own business and study investments.” How can my parents have different opinion on career and money, one have the Employee Mindset and the other a Business Owner’s Mindset. At first I really did not pay much attention to what they said. I was just trying to survive in school. Anyway, my parents were separated after I graduated in Elementary but that’s another story.
After I finished college, I listened to mom, since I thought finding a safe secure job was easier to do. I became a Banker and then I was offered a greater job at a stable financing firm. I’ve become what mom wanted me to be, but I noticed, as an employee especially here in the Philippines, there’s really little left for savings. Considering I was still single that time, no children nor siblings to support. Ive got my salary all for my self. I was lucky because, I was living with mom, the food and house were free. I realized what if I decided to live alone. My salary wouldn’t be enough to pay for rent, utilities and food and nothing will be left in my savings account.

Modesto's Entry: INVEST IN YOUR FINANCIAL EDUCATION
Here's an entry from Modesto v. Genese Jr:
Today I would like to share to you another thing that you can do with your savings. Aside from using your saving in acquiring assets that can create for you a passive income, you can also use your savings by investing into your financial education.
Why financial education?
Before I answer that question, let me tell you about an ebook by Bro. Bo Sanchez entitled “My Maids Invest in the Stock Market”. Though I am already investing in the stock market, I found this ebook so inspiring because even Bo’s house maids were able to invest in the stock market. You might ask, how is it possible for a house maid be able to invest in the stock market? Who thought them about the stock market?
My friend, that’s the financial education I am talking about. Those house maids invested in their financial education. They were thought to set aside a portion of their monthly income and they invest that money into the stock market. Since they are working for Bro. Bo Sanchez, as a house helper, they are receiving personal coaching from him during their weekly meeting.

Today I would like to share to you another thing that you can do with your savings. Aside from using your saving in acquiring assets that can create for you a passive income, you can also use your savings by investing into your financial education.

Jerome's Entry: My Wealth References
Here's an entry from Jerome Peralta:
Friends,
There are a lot of books out there teaches us on how to get rich and become financially free. They will give you different strategies and on how to make you get out of the rat race, make good money by having passive incomes and teach you how to destroy your money limiting beliefs. I may not read all of them but most of these books have in common. Something is lacking. The values are not present. I mean, after being rich and achieving your financial goals, what is next? What is the purpose of being rich anyway? I have the same opinion that, what will you do with your money afterwards is not a vital element in becoming rich. Yet, I believe this is important. Because there is something more significant than being rich and that is fulfilling your purpose. Fulfilling your purpose of becoming wealthy is the only thing that will make you satisfied and happy. I believe, it should be the end in our mind- Fulfilling your purpose.
If you are looking for a book that will guide you step by step in achieving financial independence personally, I recommend you reading first- Simplify and Live in Abundance, 8 Secrets of the Truly Rich and Choose to be Wealthy- books by Bo Sanchez. I suggest these not only because the proceeds of the books goes to different foundations and charities. But also, I find these books very easy to understand for someone like me who is taking their first step in achieving prosperity. It also gives you exactly what to do! Why do we need to save, how we can start our investments, what are the things we should consider before investing, whom we should approach, the holy use of money and when to start. This book is very practical and recommendations from the author is applicable to everyone especially Filipinos. The reasons are obvious because of two things. First, the author is a Filipino. If you are a Filipino you might want to get an advice that is applicable in Philippines right? There are many good books too authored by famous foreign financial experts however, their idea is somehow needed to adjust in order to adopt Philippine settings. Secondly, it is based from Bible. Bible is for everyone even for non-Christian and most especially dedicated for the non-believers. It answers all questions - money not exempted.

Michelle's Entry: On Our Way to Financial Freedom thru Truly Rich Club, Bo Sanchez
Here's an entry from Michelle Mandac:
We used to be satisfied with receiving our monthly wage from a multi-national company. Beau even went abroad to earn more. When we had our first child we decided to settle in the Philippines, but with the hope of migrating when our children are old enough. Mitch continued with her day job while Beau helped set-up two new businesses. But we were constantly questioning if we made the right choice of staying in the Philippines instead of working abroad where all the dollars are. We bought Robert Kiyosaki's rich dad poor dad but never got to read it entirely. Then Mitch became a member of the Kerygma Family and Truly Rich Club (which changed her outlook on money as not a source of evil), read about making multiple income streams, enrolled in Jomar Hilario's Internet Marketing, enrolled in Trace Trajano's Think Rich Quick 2, read Larry Gamboa's Think Rich, Pinoy and voila, we became instant believers that yes, the pinoy can. We admit we are not yet financially free but we now know where we are going, and it's not abroad to work, but to stay here with the family and earn together. And yes, we finally finished reading Kiyosaki's book and even played the cash flow game. We started investing in real estate and Mitch has a growing internet based business. The day job is still there, the businesses set-up previously are starting to earn. We are into the stock market and networking too. It's a long way to go but with mentors like Bo Sanchez, Larry Gamboa, Jomar Hilario, JanMc Hilado, Trace Trajano to guide us, am sure we will get to our goals soon. Going abroad? Sure. But as tourists or on pilgrimage. See you around." --Beau♥Mitch

Michael's Entry: Story of Sylvester Stallone and Some frustrating moments for me
Here's an excerpt from the entry from Michael Dumlao:
Last week is I admit a frustrating week for me. I promised to finish a product to sell last March 31. I said that I will finished creating a product. Well, I finished it and I just can't convert it to a pdf file from PowerPoint. The file was corrupted, ouch! It was supposedly a 900+ pages e-book about how I change my mind-sets to an entrepreneurial one although your still an employee. I update that e-book even after work, so for so many tiring days, I ended up in this.
So what I do I just go to Shopping Mall in Batangas. My province is in Laguna but it is I think the largest mall which is also nearest to my province in Laguna which has large Bookstores.
I buy a book entitled "Choose To Be Wealthy" by Bo Sanchez. I'm supposed to borrow this from a friend at work but I can't help it so instead I buy one. It's about the 8 Habits of the Happy Millionaire. I want to be rich but with a purpose, so someday I can have time to things that really matters to me like being with my family and friends.

Rommela's Entry: Financial Articles and Books by Bo Sanchez Reviews
Here's an excerpt from Rommela Untalan's entry:
Reading Bo Sanchez books are very inspiring for me, may it be about God or finance. It literally helps me go through business, inspires me to go to business, and gain more ideas on business as written by Bo Sanchez.
I have read most of his books the Tagalog version of the 8 Secrets of the Truly Rich and Choose to be Wealthy.
Just recently, I read Choose to be Wealthy and my favorite parts are: 10 Principles in Starting a Business particularlyFind something you're passionate about, Be a Marketing expert and Be a Relationship expert.
How to Change Your Non-Conscious Beliefs. Until now, this is an exercise for me. Not until I achieve what I want will I stop in doing this exercise for myself. I think the key here is to do and do things, act and act, so that your conciousness will increase in terms of riches.

Joanne's Entry: How I became financially free
Here's an excerpt from Joanne Christine Amparo Bulan's entry:
Because of this job:
1. I now earn my own money. It may not be as big as compared to what my friends are earning now on their jobs in the Hospitality and Tourism industry, but it helps me pay our electricity bill. More importantly, I am now able to set aside money for tithes and for my future. Following Bo's advice on how to divide income, as soon as I receive my monthly salary, I set aside 10% for my Forever Fund (tithes), 20% for my Future Fund (investments), 50% for my Fixed Fund (electricity, internet, grocery), 10% for my Freedom Fund (savings), 5% for my Fun Fund (rewards for myself), and 5% for my Frivolous Fund (incidental or unplanned expenses).
2. I am better than ever. In the past 6 months, I had gone into a long phase of depression that has started while I was still in college. Now, I am back on my tracks and I am starting my life all over again. There are still the varying degrees of highs and lows, but I am happy to note that I am experiencing great days longer and I am able to pull myself out of the pits faster than before.
3. I am embracing the Now. Finally, I am able to leave my past behind and not worry too much on things that are yet to come. Of course there are still some days when I feel anxious, frustrated, doubtful, and dejected, but I am now able to feel those feelings while allowing God to work in me and believing that I will get over those feelings soon.
4. I am given an opportunity to gain financial freedom. The first paycheck I received, I immediately joined Bo Sanchez' TrulyRichClub. Because I have yet to discover what I really want to pursue in my career life, I thought that I could at least start learning on how to take charge of my financial life. I figured that if I invest on changing my wealth mentality, the physical manifestations of this wealth will follow. And amazingly enough, it does. With the amount I am earning for the past four months, I was still not able to save Php 5,000 to allow me to open an account in CitisecOnline (the top online broker in the country that offers an opportunity to invest on the stock market even with little time, knowledge and capital through their COL-EIP program). But then, when I celebrated my birthday last September, my father sent me Php 5,000.00 for my birthday gift! Without a doubt in my mind, I used this money to apply at CitisecOnline, and now I am a proud part-owner of three companies! The excerpt at the start of this blog entry was actually written right after I lodged my application.

Richardson's Entry: Create Money Machines
Here's an entry from Richardson Chan:
One fine day not so long ago at work, my friend Fina and I were talking about how we've been doing, financially speaking, especially during the times when the economy was down, when she introduced me to the works of Brother Bo Sanchez. The curious little boy that I am, I googled him up, subscribed to his daily newsletter, checked out the Truly Rich Club, and read some of his free e-books. Months later, I, along with my fiancé, was able to attend Brother Bo's "How to be Truly Rich" seminar, in which, we also bought his latest best seller "Choose to be Wealthy".
What I particularly liked about "Choose to be Wealthy" was the power talk CD that came along with it. The talk was entitled "Create Money Machines". I'd like to share my reflections about "Create Money Machines" and hopefully, this entry wins me three tickets to the next "How to be Truly Rich" seminar on November 13th so I could bring along two of my friends. =)

Kristina's Entry: Because God Wants Me To Share My Success Story
Here's an except from Kristina Godinez blog:
I also joined several online learning groups, most of them run by Bo Sanchez like the Truly Rich Club, and then a few international online trainings like the Challenge, Stephen Pierce and other mentors that offered their services for little or no fee.
I’ve read so many books – those that come to mind are books and written by Bo Sanchez eBooks (in order, from memory: 1. Thank God He’s Boss 2. How to Make Your Life Beautiful 3. Your Past Does Not Define Your Future 4. How to Turn Thoughts Into Things 5. How to Know If Your Dreams Are God’s Dreams, etc.
I also read the Purpose Driven Life, which was both eye opening and mind boggling. Seriously, it helped turn my life around. Now I’m constantly seeking my purpose and each day is a revelation for which I am grateful.
I read the first and last part of the autobiography of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and it was very enlightening. For some reason, I have this tendency to be impatient when reading. I either count pages til I get to the end or scan and choose the best parts. At times I skip to the end just to know how it all wraps up. I know. Cheating! lol. That's what makes reading fun for me. The variety. No one tells me how to read my books and I love that!

Entry from Louis: PROSPERITY CONSCIOUSNESS AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WALLET
This is an excerpt from Louis Delos Angeles entry for the October Blogger Campaign:
What is a psychological wallet? In Bo Sanchez's book 8 Secrets of the Truly Richpsychological wallet was mentioned. Every person has this imaginary wallet. And each person knows how much money can only fit in that wallet thus in times of prosperity or when they made a jackpot in their business, or they got a bonus, or a promotion, the tendency is for them to spend the excess because they cannot fit it to their wallet. Thus when an employee got an increase or bonus she or he plans where or what will he spend it for. Probably a treat at a pricey resto with friends, a Louis Vuitton bag, a vacation trip in Bangkok or in Boracay, or any thing as long as such excess money is spend and not tuck in their wallets.
